The story of this collection takes place in the city of Kharazm, one of the cities of ancient Khorasan, in the eighth century AH. The main character of these stories is the hero Mahmoud Ghatali Kharazmi, nicknamed Pouria Vali, a famous Iranian poet, mystic and athlete. He has a job as a blacksmith and is also the owner and manager of the only zurkhaneh in the city, where he teaches the manners and ethics of chivalry, wrestling and wrestling techniques to his students.
